Making a Referral
We welcome enquiries from local authorities seeking placements for young males aged 12–18 who would benefit from a therapeutic residential and educational environment.
We’re happy to have an informal conversation to discuss the needs of the young person and how we may be able to support them. If our provision seems suitable, we’ll ask for supporting documentation so our team can assess the referral in more detail.
Our Admissions Process
Once we receive the necessary documentation, we will:
- Review the referral thoroughly – considering the young person’s needs, risks, and compatibility with our existing group.
- Arrange a planning meeting – where appropriate, we will meet with professionals, carers, and the young person to explore the placement further.
- Agree of a transition plan – if a placement is offered, we will work collaboratively to design a tailored transition plan to support a smooth start.
What We Offer
Apple Orchard provides specialist care and education for boys who have experienced trauma and present with complex emotional and behavioural needs. Each placement is carefully considered to ensure we can meet the individual’s needs safely and effectively.
