Orchard House
Orchard House was our third home and since its start in 2007, it has been fully refitted and a purpose built school added to the site.
Orchard House serves as the company Head Office and the Management, Education and Therapy Teams are all based there. All enquiries and referrals go through this office.
All young people attend the school daily at the home and have access to the large garden and basketball pitch as part of the school day.
The home itself houses up to nine young people, and has two large communal lounges, two large dining areas, kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room and therapy rooms. The young people living in the home have access to a large garden, basketball court and vegetable garden.
Within the home the young people have chosen one of the lounges to be used for Games consoles and the other for TV, allowing young people to choose which activity they join, there are also two dining areas which can be used for arts and crafts, cooking and quieter activities.
The home is ideally situated on the outskirts of Horsham, West Sussex with large areas of countryside and a selection of bridleways and cycle paths close by. Crawley is located a 20 minute drive away, for activities such as Cinema, Bowling, Shopping and Go-Karting. Being less than an hour from the coast, allows easy access to the beach for barbecues and other beach activities. There are also good public transport links.
It was lovely to be able to sit and have lunch with our son.
We were made to feel welcome with a table all set up for us.

Apple Orchard currently have four homes located in Surrey and Sussex, they are ideally located in rural areas which are close to large towns in order to provide both the seclusion and safety of a countryside location and the amenities of larger towns.
